I just purchased this set through Amazon and am very pleased. They are very heavy and appear to be sturdy. Although I've only used them once, I am very happy with the quality.
My only negative comment would be the knobs are stainless steel and therefore get hot. The literature states they have Phenolic knobs (heat-resistant) and I would appreciate it if someone would let me know how they can be replaced.
I'm looking forward to years of service with this high-quality cookware set.

Made in Germany, Berndes SignoCast thick-walled aluminum cookware is both durable and distinctive in looks. Berndes uses vacuum pressure to cast its pots and pans, which results in a much stronger product than stamped aluminum cookware. Guaranteed not to warp, SignoCast cookware also features break-resistant glass lids, ergonomic phenolic handles for comfortable lifting and stay-cool stovetop cooking, and an oven-safe temperature of 450 degrees F. Berndes was one of the first household goods companies to institute a voluntary monitoring of its impact on the environment, and today goes beyond the requirements of existing environmental protection laws.This 10-piece set will get a kitchen into cook mode in no time. Included are two small lidded saucepans, holding 1-1/4 and 2 quarts; a 7-quart covered stockpot for making generous amounts of soup or boiling corn-on-the-cob; 9-1/2-inch open skillet; 11-inch covered skillet; and 9-1/2-inch open saut? pan with sides high enough for braising and simmering. Each piece is coated with the Dupont Autograph 2 Gourmet nonstick finish in a triple layer on the inside and double layer on the outside.
